DLE IN SBJ...

FEBRUARY 2016

The year opened with two big signings for DLE: three-time U.S. Swim Coach of the Year, Bruce Gemmell, and two-time U.S. Olympic slalom canoe athlete, Casey Eichfeld.

On February 15th, we were featured in the Sports Business Journal, for having signed Coach Gemmell. The SBJ is the preeminent, go-to publication for anyone who works in the world of sports and entertainment. Liz Mullen's column on Labor & Agents is the most widely-read tracker for all agent hirings, firings, and new signings. It was an honor. Hard work pays.  // DE

SUPER BOWL 50...

FEBRUARY 2016

Once again, we were on the ground for the Super Bowl. This year was special as it marked the 50th anniversary of the 'Big Game' and was being held in the city where I was born: San Francisco!

For DLE, the Super Bowl is all business; it's the one event each year where key decision-makers from a variety of sectors are in one place. When you have marketing reps from all 32 teams, as well as automotive, apparel, banking, beverage, beer, credit, finance, insurance, and others...well, you get the point. It was another productive trip.  // DE

WE GOT ENGAGED...

OCTOBER 2015

On October 25th, I asked Hilary to marry me on the very same sideline where we met and had our first conversation--exactly six years and seven days earlier.

We were standing down on the field, watching pre-game warm-ups before kick-off of the Redskins Bucs game. Hilary claims she had an idea, while I maintain she was shocked. Whatever the case, what's not in question is how happy we are for the road ahead.

Many thanks to Tony and my friends at the Redskins who made this possible!  // DE

MEDIA MADNESS...

SEPTEMBER 2015

The year has closed much like it started: with front page sports stories dominating the headlines, water-cooler and kitchen table conversations across the country. For DLE, that's meant a steady diet of in-studio segments, covering the intersection of legal, media, and brand concerns on topics such as: NFL concussions, the FIFA corruption scandal, the purported state-supported doping of Russian track athletes, RIO Olympic preparations, and a dozen other topics that dominated the international headlines. We're fortunate to build these strong media relationships on behalf of our clients.  // DE
